Digital paintings
It’s sort of like paint by numbers. These images are painted with a digital stylus in photoshop using original photos as templates.
I personally like the pop art style, as featured in our family reportage photographer section. The collage is Chloe, my daughter. I shot all these pictures in about an hour, and for a 3 year old to stay still for this amount of time, is something! Keeping it fun and using the different props, kept her entertained and she loved smiling for the camera.
I also shoot family portraits, and you can hire me for family time out. Whether it’s your UK holiday, at the beach or simply around the home or in the garden, I can take fun and relaxed images. Family time out is fun and being a reportage photographer, this enables me to shoot without the subject in most cases not even aware that the camera is on them. This is particularly useful for many parents whom in most cases are not comfortable having a lens pointed at them.
I love black and white prints as they are timeless. Having family prints in this style never date and always look great on the wall or in photo frames. I have also shot images for postcards, Christmas cards and thank you cards.
I particularly, like family time out at the beach or at the local park. Interacting with the kids during this time is fun, and it really helps take their mind of the camera. The kids first steps into the water, or when they experience the trill of riding the slide, this all helps towards that final print.
The best thing about being a family photographer is the uniqueness of each session. Every family is different, each home is different and everyone has their own style of dress for the occasion. I think being a photographer, I have the best job in the world.
Being around children is great fun, if they have pets it really does make for a good photography session, I particularly like the way children interact with dogs. I have two springer spaniels and I cannot believe how good they are with my young daughter. They allow her to have all the fun in the world, pulling their ears, trying to ride them like horses. I have take some great pictures of my daughter, and with another little one on the way I cannot wait for the opportunity to take even more family pictures.
