I love reportage wedding photography, it simply is modern, fresh and far from the traditional group and staged shots. My clients love it, it unobtrusive and they like me capturing real moments, when they are at the most relax. My best shots are when the subject has absolutely no idea that I am capturing the moment. Tears, laughter, smiles I have captured them all and it really does make for a fab reportage wedding album.
Reportage wedding photography is relatively new, but many wedding photographers midlands have now adopted this style. Although this type of photography is becoming popular, the one good thing about photoshop and post production is that you can still create your own unique images. I personally like images that have a little noise, black and white and with a strong vignette. It draws the eye to the center of the image, while the noise and the choice of black and white in print, really do create images that last a lifetime.
I am one of few wedding photographers midlands that have my own print set-up. I have a canon ipf6500 that enables me to produce studding prints and large canvases. I use permajet paper with custom profiles for canon ink. The custom profiles include fine art paper which I particularly like.
